    Your microscope should have a lever on the condensor below the stage, move it to reduce the light levels on the slide.

    You will find it easier to find the object with the x 40 before locating with the x100.

    Also all x100 objectives require immersion oil.

    the set on amozon for all the things you need is for 50 dollars the microscope itself is 19 dollars

    i got one and its very cool!
